sun2safe solution introduced in Pakistan
Zug/Lahore. Multinet, a leading data and voice communication provider in Pakistan, has chosen to partner up with The meeco Group to implement energy management systems. For the beginning 33 of their sites all over the country shall be equipped by meeco with sun2com systems. Through this cooperation, meeco introduces at the same time its new sun2safe solution: a solar energy management tool to be associated with electricity production systems. This tool, equipped with a storage solution, insures that the energy produced is either consumed by the powered equipment or used to charge the batteries.
Zug/Lahore. meeco services Pakistan, together with strong industry partners officially created OurSun Solar Power Ltd. as a new company for promoting solar power in Pakistan. The company was founded in Lahore by Nadeem Babar, founder and managing partner of Orient Power, Adnan Asdar, founder and managing partner shareholder of Multinet as well as Amer Ashfaq and Saad Zafar Directors and Co-Shareholders of The meeco Group subsidiary in Pakistan meeco Services Pakistan. The company business plan is to provide Business to Business (B2B) solutions to customers in Pakistan.
Istanbul-based company Tunçmatik refuses to fulfil delivery obligations
In May 2012 the Swiss-based meeco Group has placed an order via its German subsidiary, meeco Services Deutschland GmbH, for the production and delivery of solar products with the renowned Turkish company Tunçmatik Elekt. Malz. San. ve Tic. A.Ş , represented by its CEO Mehmet Özer. The placing of the order took effect after a representative of meeco was shown that Tunçmatik actually produced similar products. This led meeco to trust Tunçmatik, close the contract and make a significant down payment for the production of an initial 35 test/trial units of the portable energy solution “sun2go”, originally developed by meeco.
The meeco Group to install 31 kWp building-integrated photovoltaic skylight for INDITEX Group member
Zug/Valencia. On August 9th 2013, The Swiss-based meeco Group has been chosen by the Spanish Architecture Bureau Sach Consulting & Services to install a building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) skylight installation for the new Bershka store in Valencia. The Spanish fashion retailer Bershka, member of the INDITEX Group, will invest three million euros to set up their Valencia store in the former Economy Council building. The redevelopment of the building via a series of technical improvements, energy saving measures and the implementation of alternative energy technology will grant the building the LEED Gold certification for green buildings. The grand opening of the store is currently planned for the first week of December and will generate 70 jobs.
Public-listed Press Corporation Limited and The meeco Group create joint venture company Press Solar Limited
Zug/Blantyre. On August 7th 2013, the Malawi public-listed company Press Corporation Limited (Press Corp.) and the Swiss company meeco Invest AG have officially created a jointly held company: Press Solar Limited. The joint venture’s strategic objective is to implement solar energy and storage solutions in the region, providing electricity to both SME’s and large businesses. Several hundreds of kilowatts are already planned for 2013 including several energy shave off solutions and also solar water pumping in remote locations. Press Solar expects to install a total of 4 MW until the end of 2014 mainly in shave off projects.
1.4 kW solar generator with storage reinforces small-sized sun2live solutions
Zug. The meeco Group has recently added a new product innovation to its sun2live range of solar energy and storage solutions, called iKUBE. This mobile energy solution, manufactured by Italian experts Pro D3 s.r.l., is equipped with up to 1.4 Kilowatt power capacity and 400 Ampere-hour of storage capacity, completes the lower-output level of the sun2live solutions provided by the Swiss Group.
meeco Group partner SOLTEKenergias presents sun2go at “Arco Iris” kindergarten
Zug/Setúbal. On June 16th 2013, The meeco Group’s own portable energy solution – sun2go – was present at the Eco-Schools day which took place at the “Arco Iris” kindergarten in Setúbal, Portugal. The presence of the sun2go was made possible thanks meeco’s partner in the Portuguese market, SOLTEKenergias, who demonstrated the product’s power generation capacity to the pupils that day.
Swiss group obtains Indian market exclusivity to distribute German kinetic technology
ZUG/FELDAFING. The meeco Group has recently signed an exclusivity agreement with German kinetic hydropower systems expert Smart Hydro Power GmbH (SHP) to promote and develop Smart Hydro technology-based projects in India. A first demonstration project has been successfully executed and is in operation in the region of Punjab in association with the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA), as communicated last May 2 by The meeco Group.
meeco finalizes 2450 Wp remote solar water pumping project near Pirizal, Chaco
ZUG/ASUNCIÓN. The meeco Group subsidiary in Paraguay continues to grow with the achievement of a new sun2flow deep well pump installation, situated near the location of Pirizal in the Paraguayan Chaco, Department of Boquerón. This 2.450 Wp deep-well project has been recently installed at the beginning of April and its primary focus and objective is to pump water needed to provide the client’s cattle with drinking water.
