Drinking water pumping system for a large cattle farm in Paraguay
Another sun2flow project in Paraguay, involving the installation of a solar water pumping system for a large cattle farm through the subsidiary of The meeco Group in Paraguay, meeco América Latina is finally completed. This project has been initiated back in November 2013 but has been delayed due to extreme climatic conditions accompanied by strong floodings in the country. From today, the installation is entirely operable in the Paraguayan region of Chaco to fulfill all requirements of the customer.
Paraguayan ranch to be equipped with six sun2flow solutions
Zug/Asunción. The meeco Group, through its subsidiary meeco América Latina, will supply and install a 30.760 Wp sun2flow solar water pumping system for a newly established water supply system of a large cattle farm. The system will be located near the “Defensores del Chaco” National Park, a remote area without any access to the electricity grid 250 km North of Filadelfia, the capital city of the Boquéron region in Paraguay. This sun2flow will provide the farm’s cattle population with drinking water.
First shipment of Würth CIS modules available as from October 1st
Zug/Asunción. On October 1st, The meeco Group’s subsidiary, meeco América Latina S.A., will officially introduce the first German made CIS (Copper Gallium Selenide) photovoltaic (PV) modules in the Paraguayan market. The first container of these advanced technology modules is expected to arrive in Paraguay this week. Given their exceptional price-performance ratio, meeco América Latina is aiming to sell 150 kWp of CIS modules as part of off-grid systems until the end of the year.
The meeco Group has presented new solar innovations at major Paraguayan fair
Zug/Loma Plata. From August 11th to 18th, the Asunción-based subsidiary of the Swiss meeco Group, meeco América Latina S.A. participated at the 39th edition of Expo Rodeo Trébol, the second largest stockbreeding fair in Paraguay. At the trade show, which took place in Loma Plata, Chaco region, exhibitors presented new technologies for the further development of food production in Paraguay, including this year’s meeco solar energy innovations for the agricultural sector.
Clients in Paraguayan Chaco choose 490 Wp sun2flow kit to save costs
Zug/Asunción. meeco América Latina S.A., a subsidiary of the Swiss meeco Group, has sold the first four 490 Wp pre-assembled sun2flow kits to ranchers based in the region of Chaco, Paraguay. These ready-to-use kits, destined in their majority to pump drinking water for cattle, are composed of water pumping technology combined with a solar photovoltaic (PV) system and can be easily installed by the client himself (shop and go principle).
meeco supplies 15.68 kWp of remote solar water-pumping in Pitiantuta, Chaco
ZUG/ASUNCIÓN. The Swiss meeco Group, via its local subsidiary meeco América Latina S.A., has recently provided the design and hardware for a large sun2flow water pumping facility in the Northern Chaco in Pitiantuta, Department of Boquerón, Paraguay. This sun2flow project consists of 8 surface water pumping systems powered solely by solar photovoltaic modules. The project was executed in association with meeco’s long-term partner and agro equipment specialist, Taller Juancito. Each project has an installed solar power capacity of 1960 Wp to ensure a reliable, efficient and sustainable cattle water supply system.
meeco finalizes 2450 Wp remote solar water pumping project near Pirizal, Chaco
ZUG/ASUNCIÓN. The meeco Group subsidiary in Paraguay continues to grow with the achievement of a new sun2flow deep well pump installation, situated near the location of Pirizal in the Paraguayan Chaco, Department of Boquerón. This 2.450 Wp deep-well project has been recently installed at the beginning of April and its primary focus and objective is to pump water needed to provide the client’s cattle with drinking water.
The meeco Group pursues growth in Latin America thanks to off-grid projects
Present in both North and South America, The meeco Group is strategically positioned to answer clean energy needs in both regions. However, the situation is very different from one market to other. “In the United States, power purchase agreement prices have significantly decreased during 2012 and the Federal cash-grant program has was allowed to expire. As a result, clients for many PV projects are large companies that can utilize the Federal tax credit and accelerated depreciation rules,” explains Stuart Moss, directing The meeco Group’s activities in North America and parts of South America. As a consequence, The meeco Group has decided to focus its activity in Latin America. Markets such as Brazil, Paraguay, Peru, Chile, Mexico, and Ecuador are growing in part thanks to the global cost reduction of PV technology during 2012.

meeco América Latina S.A., the Asunción-based subsidiary of The meeco Group, has received the down-payment earlier this month for a new sun2flow project in the Chaco region, northern Paraguay. Situated in a particularly remote area 350 km away from the first paved road, the installation site is completely off the grid.
