New solar water pumping system by meeco América Latina in Chaco, Paraguay

meeco América Latina S.A., the Asunción-based subsidiary of The meeco Group, has received the down-payment earlier this month for a new sun2flow project in the Chaco region, northern Paraguay. Situated in a particularly remote area 350 km away from the first paved road, the installation site is completely off the grid.

In a first phase, meeco América Latina has planned to connect two sun2flow systems. Eventually the site will be equipped with a total of six sun2flow pumping systems, offering each an initial pumping capacity of 40 000 l/hour and 148 000 l/day, but extendable to more than 200.000 liters each. This installation will represent a substantially large project in comparison with what has been done in the Chaco region until this point. Each pump will provide water to six water tanks of 120 000 cubic meters, and satisfy the water needs of more than 2000 cattle heads per water tank.

“We are very proud to launch this project as it will contribute to settle the sun2flow legitimacy as reference product in the field of water pumping,” declares Dieter Trutschler, Sales Director of The meeco Group. “Construction work has already begun and the first part of the project will be achieved very soon”, explains Dr. Oliver Jann, President of meeco América Latina. “For this project only top-tier material will be used, such as Lorentz water-pumps, Talesun PV modules, Fontenova water ventilation technology and custom PV substructures designed by meeco America Latina S.A.” adds Dr Jann.
