The Indian subsidiary of The meeco Group, meeco India Pvt. Ltd. has announced the beginning of a new project that will be commissioned by mid-January. meeco India has launched, in the millennium city of Gurgaon, its first rooftop photovoltaic project that consists in the installation of photovoltaic modules on commercial building rooftop. This grid-connected project will enable the building to generate the electric power needed for its operation during the daytime.

On March 20th Sir Navin Rangoolam, Prime Minister of Mauritius, inaugurated the KIA Motors showroom in Port Louis, Mauritius.  The showroom stands out from the competition due to an innovative energy concept composed of a solar photovoltaic (PV) and an energy storage system installed by SOLAR-ERNTE-TECHNIK LTD (SETL), a subsidiary of the LEAL group and a partner of The meeco Group.  At the inauguration Hon. Devanand Virahsawmy, Minister of Environment and the top management of KIA Motors Corporation were also present.
