Installation of photovoltaic solar panels on a commercial building
The Indian subsidiary of The meeco Group, meeco India Pvt. Ltd. has announced the beginning of a new project that will be commissioned by mid-January. meeco India has launched, in the millennium city of Gurgaon, its first rooftop photovoltaic project that consists in the installation of photovoltaic modules on commercial building rooftop. This grid-connected project will enable the building to generate the electric power needed for its operation during the daytime.

SETL meeco Ltd. to provide clean energy access on the whole island
Port-Louis, Mauritius. SETL meeco is the leader in photovoltaic kits solutions and generators in Mauritius and aspires strongly to defend and promote green energies on the island. With more than 107 solar installations in Mauritius and Rodrigues, the company produces energy worth to close to 20 millions Mauritian Rupees per year. SETL meeco is responsible for as much as 1,4 MW SSDG (Small Scale Distributed Generation) from the total of 1,8 MW of the island. Moreover, other photovoltaic projects are in process in view of supporting the transition to a greener Mauritius.
SETL and meeco install solar power and storage system on KIA showroom rooftop
ZUG/PAILLES. On March 20th Sir Navin Rangoolam, Prime Minister of Mauritius, inaugurated the KIA Motors showroom in Port Louis, Mauritius. The showroom stands out from the competition due to an innovative energy concept composed of a solar photovoltaic (PV) and an energy storage system installed by SOLAR-ERNTE-TECHNIK LTD (SETL), a subsidiary of the LEAL group and a partner of The meeco Group. At the inauguration Hon. Devanand Virahsawmy, Minister of Environment and the top management of KIA Motors Corporation were also present.
Growing activities in the African market for The meeco Group last year
Present in South Africa since 2006, in Mauritius since the first quarter of 2012 and regularly present in Angola for the last 4 years, The meeco Group’s focus in the Indian Ocean and African markets has gained importance. In fact, the swiss-based clean energy specialist has been very active in the region, developing projects and partnerships in South Africa, Malawi, Kenya, Ghana, Morocco, Jordan, Nigeria, Yemen, Tanzania and Gambia. “We have always considered the African market as one of the most promising markets in the solar industry”, explains Dieter Trutschler, Sales Director for The meeco Group.

Last Saturday 13th October meeco América Latina S.A., the Asunción-based subsidiary of The meeco Group, has hosted the second edition of its solar energy open-air event in the Chaco. Local farmers, clients, solar energy partners as well as water pumping experts were invited to this exclusive event which took place at a local cattle breading estancia Riacho-í, located near Rio Verde, in the Chaco region, (Presidente Hayes province) which already uses sun2flow and sun2live solutions from meeco.
