Cooperation between The meeco Group and Villa Group extended
Malé, Maldives. Expanding on the recent decision regarding the installation of a sun2live installation at Maamigili Airport in Maldives, Villa Group and The meeco Group agreed to increase the initial volume of 1,21 MW up to 4,76 MW in the first step. The contract negotiations took place at the main office of the Villa Group where the CEO, Mr. Qasim Ibrahim, himself signed the framework of the contract.
The meeco Group extends its presence in the world
Malé, Maldives. After a successful presentation and fruitful negotiations, The meeco Group concluded an agreement with one of the biggest business corporation on the Maldives islands, the Villa Group, which owns and operates the Maamigili airport. Villa Group, through its Chairman Mr. Qasim on his very birthday, and The meeco Group shook hands on the installation of the largest solar PV installation in the Maldives.
sun2safe solution introduced in Pakistan
Zug/Lahore. Multinet, a leading data and voice communication provider in Pakistan, has chosen to partner up with The meeco Group to implement energy management systems. For the beginning 33 of their sites all over the country shall be equipped by meeco with sun2com systems. Through this cooperation, meeco introduces at the same time its new sun2safe solution: a solar energy management tool to be associated with electricity production systems. This tool, equipped with a storage solution, insures that the energy produced is either consumed by the powered equipment or used to charge the batteries.
Public-listed Press Corporation Limited and The meeco Group create joint venture company Press Solar Limited
Zug/Blantyre. On August 7th 2013, the Malawi public-listed company Press Corporation Limited (Press Corp.) and the Swiss company meeco Invest AG have officially created a jointly held company: Press Solar Limited. The joint venture’s strategic objective is to implement solar energy and storage solutions in the region, providing electricity to both SME’s and large businesses. Several hundreds of kilowatts are already planned for 2013 including several energy shave off solutions and also solar water pumping in remote locations. Press Solar expects to install a total of 4 MW until the end of 2014 mainly in shave off projects.
1.4 kW solar generator with storage reinforces small-sized sun2live solutions
Zug. The meeco Group has recently added a new product innovation to its sun2live range of solar energy and storage solutions, called iKUBE. This mobile energy solution, manufactured by Italian experts Pro D3 s.r.l., is equipped with up to 1.4 Kilowatt power capacity and 400 Ampere-hour of storage capacity, completes the lower-output level of the sun2live solutions provided by the Swiss Group.
Sub-holding of the Swiss Group to meet renewable energy needs in Japan
Zug/Yokohama. oursun Japan Holding AG, a company in which The meeco Group is a shareholder, has officially acquired the Yokohama-based oursun Japan Ltd holding company last June 27th 2013. The latter is now a sub-holding of the Swiss company, oursun Japan Holding AG, established in April this year, and is a consequence of the first Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reached on February 22nd between the BIJ Corporation – fully-owned subsidiary of the Inter Action Corporation of Japan, finergia advisory & finance s.r.l. of Italy and meeco Invest AG of Switzerland.
6.7 kWp rooftop installation to be upgraded to hybrid 13 kWh storage solution
Zug/Lahore. Following the rooftop installation at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), the subsidiary of The meeco Group, meeco Services Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd, has recently completed a 6.72 kWp sun2liveTM residential solar photovoltaic installation in Lahore. Initially connected to the national grid, the installation will be upgraded to feature energy storage with close to 15 kWh in the coming months.
Swiss group wants to expand its business in Zimbabwe (Southern Africa)
Zug/Harare. The meeco Group has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Zimbabwean Venture Partnership and Business Advisory Firm Oxygen Group, which aims to promote and develop the solar energy solutions of The meeco Group in Zimbabwe. The MoU has been signed in Dubai on 30th May by representatives of both parties and is already effective.
oursun Japan Holding AG to focus on clusters of small and efficient solar PV applications
Zug/Yokohama. The Japan-based BIJ Corporation, the Italian finergia advisory & finance s.r.l. and the Swiss MEECO Invest AG have successfully formed a joint company on April 10, 2013 in Zug, Switzerland. The creation of the joint company, oursun Japan Holding AG, is a consequence of the initial Memorandum of Understanding signed in February in Yokohama.
