For years now, The meeco Group is holding an important position in the Pakistani market of clean and renewable solar energies. meeco entered the market by founding a subsidiary based in Pakistan in the region of Lahore: meeco Services Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd.
In August 2014, The meeco Group, through its subsidiary meeco América Latina, has completed the installation of a sun2flow solar water pumping system, including 17 sun2flows for a large cattle ranch known as Ganadera Madrejon situated in the north of Paraguay close to the Defensores del Chaco National Park.
Several major solar projects for key industrial players in Lahore and Karachi
As already in previous years, The meeco Group in 2014 once again expanded its activities in Pakistan. Through the launch of the joint venture oursun Solar Power Limited, which was established in 2013, meeco was able to finalise several new photovoltaic projects in 2014. At the end of the year additional 7 MWp will be installed or in the final phases of installation in this country, mainly in the framework of Power Purchase Agreements. Several key industrial players in Pakistan are now benefiting from the advantages of clean energy provided through high quality photovoltaic installations of oursun Solar Power Limited on their roofs and premises.
Installation of two additional sun2flow systems in the Chaco region
Since 2010, The meeco Group, as a clean energy provider, has been present in Paraguay through its subsidiary based in Asunción, meeco América Latina S.A. The company has been a pioneer in the Paraguayan solar market, consolidated its presence and has become the leading services and solutions provider in the Paraguayan solar sector. The market penetration has been a success allowing the development and the construction of numerous solar projects. One of the flagship products is the innovative sun2flow turnkey solution, which is experiencing an exponentially rising interest in the Paraguayan market.
SETL and meeco install solar power and storage system on KIA showroom rooftop
ZUG/PAILLES. On March 20th Sir Navin Rangoolam, Prime Minister of Mauritius, inaugurated the KIA Motors showroom in Port Louis, Mauritius. The showroom stands out from the competition due to an innovative energy concept composed of a solar photovoltaic (PV) and an energy storage system installed by SOLAR-ERNTE-TECHNIK LTD (SETL), a subsidiary of the LEAL group and a partner of The meeco Group. At the inauguration Hon. Devanand Virahsawmy, Minister of Environment and the top management of KIA Motors Corporation were also present.
The meeco Group installs rooftop solar power on 67 schools in Mauritius
Spread across the island, the Bureau de l’Éducation Catholique’s (BEC) mission is to offer quality education to all students by helping them develop advanced educational, cultural and social skills. To support this teaching methodology, the Bureau has put in place in 2011 its own ecological footprint program involving students. This step marked the beginning of a new and greener path at BEC.
Growing activities in the African market for The meeco Group last year
Present in South Africa since 2006, in Mauritius since the first quarter of 2012 and regularly present in Angola for the last 4 years, The meeco Group’s focus in the Indian Ocean and African markets has gained importance. Students enjoy school year in building equipped with solar energy at Universal College
Since the start of the 2012-2013 school year at the Universal College in Mauritius, the 1450 students had a little surprise awaiting them. Indeed the College has recently decided to set itself up as a sustainable school model by installing a solar energy system on its rooftops. This decision echoes what is one of the College’s aims, that is not only to educate students but also to prepare them to become conscious citizens.
