Lately, promising cooperation’s have been initiated in Zimbabwe with key partners such as BDO, part of the fifth largest accountancy network in the world and ZINWA, an entity wholly owned by the Government and mandated to manage all water resources of the country. The ZIMREC conference represents for meeco a further step towards the expansion of its clean energy activities in Zimbabwe.

In July 2014, a new agreement was signed between OurSun Energy (Private) Ltd, The Zimbabwean subsidiary company of The meeco Group and ZINWA, the Zimbabwe National Water Authority. This MOU will result in the establishment of a Public Private Partnership joint venture company OurSun ZINWA with a view to focus on solar-based water treatment developed by The meeco Group through its sun2water solutions.

Drinking water pumping system for a large cattle farm in Paraguay

Another sun2flow project in Paraguay, involving the installation of a solar water pumping system for a large cattle farm through the subsidiary of The meeco Group in Paraguay, meeco América Latina is finally completed. This project has been initiated back in November 2013 but has been delayed due to extreme climatic conditions accompanied by strong floodings in the country. From today, the installation is entirely operable in the Paraguayan region of Chaco to fulfill all requirements of the customer.

Khatoon Industries and The meeco Group towards a jointly green development in Pakistan

Lahore, Pakistan. Khatoon Industries and oursun Solar Power Ltd., a subsidiary joint venture company from The meeco Group and two Pakistani business professionals, concluded a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for a photovoltaic sun2roof installation of 500kwp that will produce annually up to 825.000 kwh of renewable, carbon free energy; 200 kWp will be installed during the first phase of the project in August and September 2014 followed by additional 300kwp later this year in a second phase. Not only the rooftop of the production facility of Khatoon Industries but also a part of its factory site itself will be used to erect the installation and meet the capacity requirements.

350 kWp Power Purchase Agreement with Shalamar Hospital in Lahore

Lahore, Pakistan. The meeco Group is continuing to develop and enhance its market position in Pakistan. After an agreement on a strategic partnership in Research & Development with the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), the meeco Group company oursun Solar Power Limited concluded a sun2roof Power Purchase Agreement up to 350 kWp with the Businessmen Hospital Trust Shalamar in Lahore. The two parties are now bound since July 3rd.

Photovoltaic rooftop implemented by meeco for Mustaqim Dyeing & Printing

Karachi, Pakistan. On April 15th, Mustaqim Dyeing & Printing Pvt Ltd. and The meeco Group completed successfully phase one of a photovoltaic rooftop installation, which provides initially up to 20 kWp of clean electrical energy. The sun2roof system is a grid-tied rooftop installation with 280 German thin-film modules and Power One inverters (ABB). The meeco Group, through its local joint venture oursun Solar Power Ltd., was in charge of design, layout, engineering, planning, procurement, shipment and installation of the system.

Port-Louis, Mauritius. SETL meeco is the leader in photovoltaic kits solutions and generators in Mauritius and aspires strongly to defend and promote green energies on the island. With more than 107 solar installations in Mauritius and Rodrigues, the company produces energy worth to close to 20 millions Mauritian Rupees per year. SETL meeco is responsible for as much as 1,4 MW SSDG (Small Scale Distributed Generation) from the total of 1,8 MW of the island. Moreover, other photovoltaic projects are in process in view of supporting the transition to a greener Mauritius.
