Further expansion of the Packages sun2roof PV installations

Back in February, oursun Solar Power Ltd, part of The meeco Group started a promising partnership with Packages Limited to bring solar renewable energy to Pakistan. oursun Solar Power Ltd. is glad to announce that a first initial but crucial part of the project has been completed. The Power Purchase Agreement contract ties the two sides initially for a total capacity of 3 MWp sun2roof installations. Last month, the first sun2roof photovoltaic installation of 65 kWp has been implemented and connected allowing Packages to get access to clean energy. From now, onwards until the 1st quarter of 2014, the roll out of the remaining sun2roof units is foreseen.

In the context of this collaboration, BDO Zimbabwe will help oursun Energy Ltd. to develop its activity in Zimbabwe by offering Clear Advisory and Asset Management Services of The meeco Group in partnership with the Zimbabwean unit of it, oursun Energy.

Drinking water pumping system for a large cattle farm in Paraguay

Another sun2flow project in Paraguay, involving the installation of a solar water pumping system for a large cattle farm through the subsidiary of The meeco Group in Paraguay, meeco América Latina is finally completed. This project has been initiated back in November 2013 but has been delayed due to extreme climatic conditions accompanied by strong floodings in the country. From today, the installation is entirely operable in the Paraguayan region of Chaco to fulfill all requirements of the customer.

Solar energy development in Maldives

The Maldives consists of 1,190 tiny islands, of which only 33 have an area greater than one square kilometre. The population of about 300.000 inhabitants is highly concentrated on relatively few islands. 85% of the energy demand of the Maldives islands is currently covered by electricity produced by diesel generators. Especially tourism, the most important business sector on the islands (one million tourists every year), consumes much diesel. This causes many problems in the tourist resorts. Noisy diesel generators do not fit to lagoon resorts and their promise of paradise and silence. Their emissions and the transportation of diesel also damage the environment. 350 kWp Power Purchase Agreement with Shalamar Hospital in Lahore

Lahore, Pakistan. The meeco Group is continuing to develop and enhance its market position in Pakistan. After an agreement on a strategic partnership in Research & Development with the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), the meeco Group company oursun Solar Power Limited concluded a sun2roof Power Purchase Agreement up to 350 kWp with the Businessmen Hospital Trust Shalamar in Lahore.
