The versatility of oursun® Ultralight modules in meeco sun2roof® systems for the maximum performance

Lightweight solar panels are photovoltaic modules designed to significantly reduce weight compared to traditional solar panels. This weight reduction is achieved through advanced materials and manufacturing techniques, allowing for greater flexibility in installation and application. This means that even statically critical roofs can easily be covered with a sun2roof® PV system, as these modules have a weight input of less than 4 kg/m2.

The flexibility ensures that oursun® Ultralight modules easily adapt to the shape of any roof and building. The aesthetics and functionality of oursun® Ultralight offer an enormously wide range of solutions as they can be also customized. 

Barrel-roof PV installation 

This is the case of the project developed and recently built by meeco in Ansbach, Germany. It is a 50kWp sun2roof® system equipped with oursun® Ultralight modules installed on a very particular barrel-roof as adhesive modules. Commissioned in early June 2024 the system is now running in normal operation and allowing the owner to benefit from considerable savings.
