sun2rope® is an innovative low environmental impact solar PV mounting structure, tailor-made for a number of solar installations, entirely designed and engineered by meeco. The system offers an efficient and fast way to deploy and enable the generation of solar energy as the modules are mounted on special long-life ropes, which can be fixed to existing walls, wooden or steel pillars or even suspended between buildings.

Rope mounting structure

sun2rope® structure consists of top-tier PV modules mounted on a high-performance technical rope. This rope is characterized by an extremely high breaking load and a very low weight. Unlike metal substructures, the transport of this mounting solution requires minimal effort while maintaining the same level of security and stability. The ropes have a small diameter of 15.2 millimeters, which ensures a nice unobtrusive visual aspect. sun2rope® structure is easy to erect and the rapid deployment makes it ideal for more challenging environments and locations.

Ideal for uneven conditions and locations

Designed to minimize the impact on the environment, the sun2rope® solar PV structure represents a great opportunity to ensure a clean and consistent energy supply even in case of small installation areas, uneven surfaces, uneven conditions or other difficulties – such as wind loads, snow loads – that would not be suitable for standard solar metal substructures. The flexible rope solution makes renewable energy generation via PV technology possible nearly everywhere. sun2rope® system is suitable both for ground and vertical mounting. Canals or rivers for example can be used by spanning panels over the water, and the space between two buildings can be transformed into a solar plant mounted with our special ropes.
