In October 2010, The meeco Group and the London-based property management company B&S Property have officially founded PV Energy Limited as a joint venture in the United Kingdom. meeco’s partnership with one of the biggest real estate and property management companies in the UK enhances the companies’ business in the UK as well as in the Caribbean and Indian market.

The main objectives of this renewable energy joint venture are to engineer, build, operate, maintain, monitor and sell solar-based renewable energy and storage solutions to B2B clients, including investors, project developers, institutions and governments. PV Energy operates in the United Kingdom and globally in English speaking countries located in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe.

Since 2015, PV Energy supports the Caribbean twin-island state Antigua and Barbuda in achieving its target to generate 20 per cent of the national required electricity from solar energy. The close cooperation with the government of Antigua and Barbuda resulted in the agreement to build a 10 MWp sun2live solar clean energy generation project and 6.4 MWh energy storage cluster. One of the large-scale projects realised within this contract is the 3 MWp sun2live solar power plant at the V.C. Bird International Airport Antigua. This substantial facility, sensitively engineered and adapted to the special requirements of an airport and the islands’ utility APUA, underlines the pioneering role of the island and its commitment to sustainability. Moreover, PV Energy equips more than 50 schools, community centers and other public buildings on the twin-island state with sun2roof solar installations. The versatile range of realised projects and installed clean energy solutions provides proof for the joint venture’s excellent expertise in the renewable energy sector.
