The year of 2014 encountered further implementations of solar projects

The Swiss-based meeco Group, has this year enormously expanded its number of projects in solar generation and energy storage by benefiting from a growing network of local subsidiaries, strategic partners and experts based all around the world. The year of 2014 has been marked by successful projects, market expansions and new fruitful cooperation’s leading to a consequent development of the clean energy activities of The meeco Group.

Since 2000, several hundred MWp of developed and executed solar PV projects have been completed by The meeco Group on a global scale, while always complying with sustainable and best business practices. meeco delivers turnkey solutions which respond to a broad scope of requirements, from energy storage systems for large solar farms, PV installations in various sizes for businesses, communities and private users to portable solutions for individuals. These solutions are supported with an integrated set of both valuable and affordable services: Clear Advisory and Asset Management, allowing respectively the implementation of reliable and bankable clean energy projects and the subsequent long term support of investors to ensure ongoing operational and financial success.

Moreover, 2014 has been characterised by many achievements in clean energy, driven by an infused innovation into the meeco corporate culture and thus, the launch of two new products. Since then, customers have the opportunity to experience the new sun2light mini, a variety of LED lighting portable energy and storage systems with zero emissions ideal in remote areas. With this regard, a new joint venture with Elcomponics Technologies, a leading manufacturer and exporter of Electronics systems, has been initiated to manufacture the latter in India. In addition, the sun2safe is now part as well of the meeco product range, a system fostering energy management and optimization.

New corporate infrastructures for project development, execution, commissioning as well as operation and maintenance of solar power plants have been established, leading to the strengthening of cooperation’s with tier one suppliers such as AXIAL, Krannich Solar, ABB, KACO, Enerconv, Pro D3, Canadian Solar, BYD among others. A great number of projects in Asia and Africa clearly emphasises that The meeco Group continues to pursue its mission: spreading clean energy solutions worldwide and thus reducing carbon emissions on a global level.

Thomas Beindorf, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) at The meeco group, whose responsibilities consist of supervising all technical aspects of meeco solutions while being in close cooperation with experienced and committed architects, engineers and technicians, expresses the following statement:

quote “2014 was once again a busy and successful year for The meeco Group. Especially in Pakistan, we achieved to finalise several new photovoltaic projects. At the end of the year additional 7 MWp will be installed or nearing completion by meeco together with our partners, mainly in the framework of Power Purchase Agreements on the roofs of industrial clients. Several key industrial players in Pakistan are now benefiting from the advantages of clean energy provided through sun2roof photovoltaic installations.”

In reaction to this worldwide expansion, The meeco team implemented on its corporate website an overview of all its local subsidiaries, giving visitors and clients the possibility to visualise online all solar projects in every country where the meeco Group is present.

Having established several local offices across four different continents, The meeco Group can use properly and combine its global expertise with the necessary local knowledge. The meeco team looks forward to many other challenges, experiences, new projects, clients and partners to come in 2015 and trust that its passion and commitments to clean energy will help to build a brighter future for the next generations.
