SunCarrier Services (SCS) Hellas S.A., the fully-owned Greek subsidiary of the Swiss-based meeco Group has finalized and connected to the grid two additional photovoltaic (PV) projects on September 17. Both Greek projects were installed in the municipality of Fres, province of Chania, northwestern Crete. These projects can specifically be found in Koutsougeri and Spiliari.

The two 80 kWp projects were commissioned to The meeco Group by the local renewable energy producer, Feggi S.A.. Both sites use the single-axis tracking system SunCarrier 300 (by a+f GmbH – Gildemeister energy solutions) as the common supporting structure as well as SMA Tripower 10000TL inverters. Across the two installations, a total of 570 Suntech 280 Wp modules have been installed, all of which is estimated to yield a total of 260.000 kWh of energy produced per year.

As the EPC contractor, SCS Hellas S.A. not only achieved these projects in association with ENTEC contractors but also thanks to the efforts of the entire meeco Group. George Kitoudis, Director of SCS Hellas SA explains: “Due to its tight delivery deadlines, this project could not have been achieved without the timely contribution of our Spanish colleagues at SunCarrier Services SL. The meeco Group proves once again to be the a cross-collaborative organization that has the resources and the flexibility required in multinational project management of renewable energy projects.”

Active in the Greek PV market since late 2008, The meeco Group’s subsidiary has been continuously adding projects to the Group’s portfolio. Congratulations to the Greek team!
