A Case Study: The 652kWp sun2roof® System
This is the case for the 652kWp sun2roof® system. It was installed for one of the production sites of a German-based medium-sized industrial group. The factory of this group in Kleve (Germany) is specialized in sheet steel packaging for industrial applications. The sun2roof® systems were installed on several different roofs with specific peculiarities and complex technical requirements. The sun2roof® installation has been since the beginning producing clean electricity well beyond and above forecast and expectations.
The initial best performance expectation was about 810 kWh/kWp. However, since it came into operation, the plant has achieved a performance of 867.5 kWh/kWp.
Meeting Specific Roof Requirements
To meet the specific roofs’ requirements, this sun2roof® tailor-made PV solution consists of a little more than 2,000 top-tier solar modules. Oursun ultra-light modules are directly bonded on the structurally critical roofs. Meanwhile, standard Oursun modules are fixed with single rail structures. This sun2roof® installation has been generating over 545 MWh since its installation in 2023. As a result, it has saved 165 tons of polluting CO2 emissions.
