The so-called Vilamoura Atlantic Tour stretched over a six week period (17th February – 5th April 2015) and attracted some of the best show jumping riders of the world. The Atlantic Tour is an integral part of the horse sport calendar and hundreds of riders of varied nationalities participate. All together about 300 riders and 1,000 horses attended this important competition, considered as one of the largest equestrian shows in Europe.

Taking into account the high level of the competitors, the four young members of The meeco Equestrian done well and achieved pretty good results, such as for instance a 6th and 11th classification (amongst 41 competitors) in the 120 class or a 17th classification (amongst 68 competitors) with zero mistakes in the 130 class.
It was the first time we participated in a CSI 4* competition. The team members had to adapt to high technical challenges.”
Mr. Wilhelm Bettinger, the team coach of The meeco Equestrian team
With a very experienced show jumping coach such as Wilhelm Bettinger, the meeco Equestrian Team is in qualified hands. This is underlined also by the success of Willi Bettingers son. Marc Bettinger, oldest child of Wilhelm Bettinger, competed as well at the Vilamoura Atlantic Tour and won several big classes.
The international competition in the Portuguese Algarve was simultaneously the premiere of a new horse of the team: OurSun Caretanus 2. The seven years old Holsteiner gelding joined The meeco Equestrian Team shortly before the start of the competition and already showed promising results.
We will continue intensively our practices in order to achieve good classifications at the following competitions in Toledo and Madrid”
