One key requirement was increased shade under the carport, which had become very hot as it’s a favorite outdoor spot for social evenings and public gatherings with friends and family.
Appearance Matters Too
In developing this residential photovoltaic project, meeco engineers also considered the fragile material of the carport structure. The installation team took great care, working precisely to center the PV panels between the struts and choosing smaller modules to avoid overlap. The appearance was essential to the owners, so meeco used a white adhesive, matching the panel backs to ensure the glue was invisible from underneath, achieving a seamless white-on-white aesthetic.
